Weiland was sentenced last year to serve a year at the Biscaluz drug rehabilitation center after the singer was convicted of violating his probation. The singer has had repeated problems with the law over his heroin use in the past. Speculation has it that Weiland has taken advantage of this time in rehab and is doing well in his fight with addition.
It was believed the singer would be released early from captivity. Rumors last fall had Weiland hitting the streets in April.
He is not off scott free. He was transferred from the drug rehab to a half way house so he is still under the watchful eye of the courts.
Many
hope that Scott's release from incarceration will allow Stone Temple Pilots
to tour this year. No details of this possibility were available at press
time.
